RONNDE recently completed the delivery of a Unit-Load Automated Storage and Retrieval System for Huasun Solar. The project was implemented in cooperation with SANY Heavy Industry and was completed within approximately three months.
Designed for the storage and handling requirements of photovoltaic manufacturing operations, the system combines high-bay racking, stacker cranes and automated control equipment. It enables materials to be stored and retrieved systematically while making effective use of the available warehouse height.
Project Scale and System Configuration
The completed Unit-Load AS/RS reaches approximately 10 metres in height and includes 17 storage levels with more than 16,800 storage locations. The racking structure was arranged to work with the stacker cranes and other automated equipment as an integrated storage system.
By extending storage capacity vertically, the system reduces the amount of floor space required for the same number of storage locations. Clearly arranged aisles and storage positions also support the identification, placement and retrieval of materials during daily operations.
Automated Storage and Retrieval Operations
The system uses stacker cranes to move unit loads between the designated storage locations and transfer points. The automated equipment operates within fixed aisles, allowing materials to be stored and retrieved according to system instructions.
Compared with storage operations that depend primarily on manual handling, the Unit-Load AS/RS supports more consistent material movement and reduces the amount of manual work required inside high-bay storage areas. It also provides a structured foundation for inventory control and production material coordination.
Following installation, the project entered the commissioning and trial operation stage. The system equipment, storage locations and operating processes were checked and adjusted as part of the project handover procedure.
Project Completion
The completion of the Huasun Energy Unit-Load AS/RS project represents another practical application of RONNDE’s automated warehouse storage equipment in the new energy industry.
Throughout the project, RONNDE participated in system coordination, equipment manufacturing, inspection and delivery according to the confirmed project requirements. The completed system provides an organized automated storage structure for material handling and supports the continued development of Huasun Energy’s manufacturing operations.
